Paul Schlusser

Founder

Paul Schlusser is the Founder of Freshwater Instruments, bringing decades of experience across technology, innovation, and business leadership. With a background spanning software development, communications technology, and advanced hardware systems, Paul has founded and led multiple successful ventures, including Infostream and Visionary Machines.

He was part of the original Fairlight Instruments team and founded Freshwater with the vision of keeping Fairlight’s legacy alive - a passion project combining his love of music technology and engineering. At Freshwater, Paul provides strategic direction and technical leadership, guiding the company’s vision and long-term growth while blending deep technical expertise with a focus on practical, real-world solutions.

Caitlin Devesey-Jones

Creative & Administrative Co-ordinator

Caitlin is Freshwater Instruments’ Creative and Administrative Coordinator, supporting the business across marketing, operations, and day-to-day administration. Originally from North Wales and now based in Sydney, she brings a strong background in marketing and organisational support, holding a First Class Honours degree in Marketing.

Working closely with the wider team, Caitlin helps keep the office running smoothly while contributing to Freshwater’s creative and marketing initiatives. She plays an active role in shaping and communicating the Freshwater brand, ensuring consistency across internal and external touch points. With a strong eye for detail and a proactive, highly organised approach, Caitlin contributes across multiple areas of the business and is an integral part of the Freshwater Instruments team.

Jackson Bamber

Embedded Software & Hardware Engineer

Jackson is part of Freshwater Instruments’ engineering team, contributing across both hardware and software to support the creation and development of innovative instruments. He combines practical engineering skills with his academic studies in Mechatronics Engineering and Computer Science, bringing a hands-on, problem-solving approach to the technical side of the business.

Working closely with the wider team, Jackson plays an important role in translating ideas into functional prototypes and supporting the ongoing development of Freshwater’s instruments.
